Please share in our congratulations to sophomore Deven Bullard, who won Best of Show at this year’s Congressional Art Awards Competition! Her ballpoint pen drawing, “Seeing Through the Virus,” will hang in the US Capitol Building for one year, representing the Second MA Congressional District. In addition to the award, Deven received plane tickets to the ceremony in Washington later this year.
Congratulations should also be extended to sophomore Ellie Ouano, for “Untitled (unmasked)”, which won Second Place in the Photography category.

Each year, members of the House of Representatives hold a student art contest, selecting one piece to hang in the Cannon Tunnel of the Capitol for a year. In addition to the work selected, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards are given in Painting, Drawing, Photography, Computer Art, and Collage/Mixed Media. The competition is open to the entire 2nd Congressional District. You can learn more about the competition here, and see some of the 2021 selections from MA here.

Thank you to all the students who entered work in the competition! Works will be on display during our Spring Art show, May 16-27.
