Winter Instrumental Concert, February 12 at 7pm

Please join the Algonquin Fine & Performing Arts Department for the Winter Instrumental Concert. The concert will be at 7pm on Wednesday, February 12 in the ARHS auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and NSMA members free.

The evening will feature performances by the following groups: Wind Ensemble, Jazz II, Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Jazz I.

The students have been preparing for this performance for the past 11 weeks and are excited to share their work with a great audiences. Repertoire by Mozart, Bernstein, Mackey, Bizet and Grundman will be featured.

Fall Instrumental Concert

Please join us for the Fall Instrumental Music Concert on October 30 at 7pm in the Algonquin Auditorium.  The concert will feature performances by Concert Band, Symphonic Band, String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz II and Jazz I.  Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and NSMA members are free.

The concert will feature a variety of music selections from standard classical repertoire, folks song and jazz.  A new piece will be premiered, written by Algonquin senior Abigael McCue.  The students have been working hard for the past several weeks and look forward to sharing their work with an audience.

Fall Choral Concert, October 23

Tonight, October 23, the Choral Groups of the Algonquin Fine and Performing Arts Department will present their annual World of Song Concert.  The concert starts at 7 pm, admission if $5 for adults, $3 for students, and NSMA members are free.  Several student guest artists from instrumental music will join us, such as Justin Wang on violin, Karmyn Shreeve on bass and Eva Naik on flute.  There will be solo singers from Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Mixed Chorus, Camerata, AGents, and student run Ladies First, and Algoncappella.
The students will be singing in French, Italian, Spanish and Russian.  Spanish and French students coached the diction in those languages. Students are proud of their work and excited to share with an audience! We hope you can join us.

POPS Night

The music department is proud to present our annual Pops Night, held on Wednesday May 29 at 7pm in the A gym. The evening will feature performances by all the music ensembles involved in the music program in addition to the Unified Chorus, as guest artists. Come enjoy this wonderful evening of pop, rock, film music and more! Doors open at 6:30pm, concert starts at 7:00pm
