March 6-8, the Fine & Performing Arts Department hosted Arts Expo Week: MAKE ROOM FOR THE ARTS to celebrate Youth Art Month and Music in the Schools Month. Student artwork was displayed in a Pop-up Art Gallery outside of the cafeteria. During all lunches, students in the Fine & Performing Arts program demonstrated a taste of the arts through live music, drawing, painting, and wheel throwing demonstrations.

Algonquin A Cappella Groups Performing at WICK Festival
Algonquin’s Ladies First and Algoncappella will perform tonight at 7:30 at the Wick Festival. The event is held annually at St. Mark’s and features local high school a cappella groups.
Music Fundraiser
The Northborough-Southborough Music Association is hosting a fundraiser at Northborough’s Mooyah on Wednesday, January 30 from 4-9pm. This fundraiser will help the NSMA provide more financial support to the music programs and students of Northborough and Southborough in grades 4-12.
The only requirement is that the purchases are between 4-9pm and mention NSMA when paying for your purchase. The fundraiser applies to both take-out and dine-in options as long as you mention NSMA.
Holiday Festival Concert, Dec 20
Our annual Holiday Festival Concert will be held tonight, Thursday, December 20. The night will begin with light music in the lobby and rotunda area with light refreshments and student artwork displays around 6:30pm. At 7pm, the sit-down concert in the auditorium will feature some Holiday favorites like “Mele Kalikimaka,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Stopping By the Woods on a Snowy Evening” performed by Jazz I, String and Full Orchestra, Camerata Singers, Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, and Mixed Chorus. The evening will conclude with our traditional grand finale: “White Christmas.” All chorus an orchestra alumni are invited to join us on stage for the final number.
TriM Open Mic Night
Tonight is the annual Tri-M Open Mic Night. The evening will feature a variety of musical performances by Algonquin students. Armeno’s coffee will be available to purchase along with freshly baked goods! All proceeds will benefit the MMEA Symphony Scholars program.
