The 2020 performance is an eclectic mix of music, dance and monologues that highlight resilience, strength and courage. Over 40 students are involved as actors, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and tech crew. In these uncertain times, we must find ways to cope, create, and do the things we love. Each piece of the performance is selected because it reflects the many ways humans find to persevere.

Being added to the list does not mean you will necessarily perform in all of the productions, but you will get information about auditions, ways to help out, zoom meetings, and general information! We are a team working together to navigate this strange year ahead!

Please join the Algonquin Fine & Performing Arts Department for the Winter Instrumental Concert. The concert will be at 7pm on Wednesday, February 12 in the ARHS auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and NSMA members free.
The evening will feature performances by the following groups: Wind Ensemble, Jazz II, Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Jazz I.
The students have been preparing for this performance for the past 11 weeks and are excited to share their work with a great audiences. Repertoire by Mozart, Bernstein, Mackey, Bizet and Grundman will be featured.
Congratulations to the following students, who were selected after an extensive audition process, to participate in the 2020 All-State Music Festival. These students will attend all-day rehearsal on Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6 in Boston. They will perform alongside other amazing musicians from across Massachusetts in a concert at Symphony Hall on March 7th.
