The first mural to be painted on the walls of our new building was developed by Ali O’Brien, Class of 2010, with help Susie Carter, Class of 2011, as well as from Mr. Godbout, Mr. Hancin, and Ms. Sheppard. Ali is now an English teacher at Vermont Academy, and Susie is a graphic designer in NYC.
NAHS officers Kendall Sweeney, Steph Francalancia, and Bella Alex led members of the Northborough, Southborough, and Regional School Committees on a tour of as many art projects as could be seen in 30 minutes. Those joining the entourage were able to hear firsthand about these students’ inspiration and planning for their NAHS induction and Advanced Art class projects, as well as the history of public art pieces at Algonquin. We’re happy to share the tour with you in this interactive map. One fantastic suggestions tonight was to provide this to all Freshmen- we’re on it!

Helen Yang, DaEun Kim, and Rosanna Giorlandino worked on this painting from 2008-2010, when it was finally hung outside the library.
