Japan Society presents a special event for Corporate Members, U.S.–Japan NextGen Finance Networking, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in New York City, hosted by Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) and One Rock Capital Partners, LLC. Discussion topics will focus on opportunities in the U.S.–Japan finance space, including how emerging leaders are shaping cross-border investment, capital formation, and financial collaboration. The session will include a fireside chat, followed by a networking cocktail reception.

Min Choung
Managing Director, Head of Asia Capital Formation, One Rock Capital Partners
Min Choung is a Managing Director, Head of Asia Capital Formation at One Rock Capital Partners. Prior to joining One Rock, Mr. Choung was a Principal at Centerbridge Partners, where he focused on a range of special projects and led capital formation activities across private equity, private credit and real estate strategies in Asia. Mr. Choung earned a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Aya Shimura
Founder and CEO, A.SHIMUS
Aya Shimura is the Founder and CEO of A.SHIMUS, a New York–based womenswear brand specializing in elevated workwear for petite professionals. Prior to launching A.SHIMUS, Ms. Shimura earned her MBA from Columbia Business School and later worked in the Investment Banking Group at Barclays Capital. Drawing on her Japanese heritage and finance background, she leads the brand’s mission to champion the local craftsmanship and deliver premium, impeccably tailored garments to women around the world.
Masato Nakamura
Founder and Managing Partner, GLIN Impact Capital
Masato Nakamura is the Founder and Managing Partner of GLIN Impact Capital, Japan’s pioneer of impact investing. GLIN invests in growth-stage startups in Japan and the United States across climate, healthcare, and inclusivity technologies, partnering with entrepreneurs to accelerate scalable impact. Prior to founding GLIN, Masato worked at Mitsubishi Corporation, leading AI/IoT new business development and startup investments, and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, where the idea for GLIN originated through his graduation research conducted under faculty mentorship.
Yuma Terada
Co-founder of CTB Inc.
Yuma Terada is the co-founder of CTB Inc., the Tokyo- and New York-based literary agency and film production company. As film producer, Terada’s credits include Creator’s File: GOLD (2021 Netflix, starring Ryuji Akiyama), Bullet Train (2022 Sony Pictures, directed by David Leitch and starring Brad Pitt), and Seesaw Monster (in development at Netflix, starring Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek). He previously worked at Goldman Sachs and a global hedge fund based in Tokyo, London, and Hong Kong.
Maria Ichizawa
Vice President, Global Sustainability Office, Morgan Stanley
Maria Ichizawa is a Vice President in Morgan Stanley’s Global Sustainability Office in New York. She helps lead the firm’s sustainability initiatives in Japan, including advancing strategic discussions through the Morgan Stanley–MUFG Strategic Alliance. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Maria worked in Tokyo as an ESG ratings analyst at MSCI and then as a sustainability consultant at KPMG, and in London at asset management firm Ninety One. She holds a BA from Vassar College and an MBA from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
